Research position at CofFEE

CofFEE currently has a vacancy for a full-time researcher (at the HEW6 Level or Academic A Level) to work with the team on a range of projects. The persons should have an honours degree (higher degree for academic appointments) in economics or geography with a strong background in quantitative methods and GIS applications. The position will require a good working knowledge of GIS and ABS Census data and the HILDA datasets.

The salary is negotiable within the levels being offered as is the duration of contract. A mid-July 2008 start is desirable but an immediate start is possible.

PhD Scholarship Opportunities

At present, CofFEE has no scholarship opportunities for new doctoral students. We are hoping to create new opportunities in the coming period.

However, if you are keen to work with us as a doctoral student please E-mail Bill Mitchell and we may be able to find funding if the project is in the area of the Job Guarantee or theoretical advances or applied studies in modern money along the lines of the 2005 paper by Mitchell and Mosler.
